Ferrin Leavitt:I talked with Leslie on Oct 21,2001and he remembers that area of his birth to be Metford Hillside,Boston, Massachusetts--he said he was a baby when he came to Canada from Boston by boat and landing at a small dock in Eastern Canada--his father had was already in Canada at the time.
Ted (short for Theodore and the name by which his known) served in World War II--then married and went to work for the federal goverment as a steam engineer at the airport in Whitehorse .

Obituary
OULTON, Leslie Theodore (Ted) With sadness we announce the passing of Ted Oulton of Warburg (formerly of Leduc) on January 10, 2004 at the age of 85 years. Ted is survived by his loving family; sons Douglas (Brenda), Edward (Suzanne) of Whitehorse, Yukon and Bryon (Heather) of Beaumont and daughter Juanita Oulton (Terry Smith) of Leduc, grandchildren; Leslie, Heather, Mallory, Eddy, Elly, Willy, Katelyn, Maegan, Travis and Stephanie, also his companion Toni of Leduc. Ted was predeceased by his wife Audrey, his parents Leslie and Florence, brother Lyle, nephew Milton and also his beloved dog "Snowball". A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at St. David's United Church, 4614 - 48 Street, Leduc with Reverend Blaine Gregg officiating. Memorial donations may be forwarded to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel in charge of all arrangements. 4802-47 Avenue, Leduc. Phone 986-2151.
