Charles J. LeBlanc 1913-2009
Charles Joseph LeBlanc, age 96, of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. DuMont Hospital, Moncton on Tuesday, December 15, 2009.
Born in St. André, NB, he was a son of the late Hypolite and Amanda (Richard) LeBlanc.
Charles worked for the Fawcett Foundry for 39 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Elaine (Jean Louis) Lirette, Cocagne, NB; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister Doris (Kenneth-deceased) Hicks, Sackville.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Louise Auffrey; sisters Lila (Ernest) Lirette, Bertha (Burns) Garland, Lena (Raymond) LeBlanc, and Louise (Bud) Ball; brothers, Leon (May) and Gerald (Yvonne).
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 2 pm, Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
