ARTHUR VIENNEAU, 93
Was U.S. veteran; former Fitchburg resident
YORK, Penn. - Arthur Vienneau, 93, of York, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007.
He was born in New Brunswick, Canada, on Feb. 28, 1914, the son of the late Louis D. and Adeline (Richard) Vienneau and married Angelina Santonoceto on Sept. 15, 1945, in Fitchburg. He and Angie moved to Gilbert, Ariz., in 1976, then to New Jersey in 2000, and had been residing at Country Meadow in York since 2002.
Arthur served in bomb disposal for the U.S. Army in Italy and North Africa during World War II. He was the oldest member of the VFW, Fitchburg Chapter.
While living in Fitchburg, he worked as a welder at Fitchburg Welding, Dillon Boiler and retired from Fitchburg Gas & Electric Co. He attended St. Anthony di Padua Church and was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. He did volunteer work at the former Gardner State Hospital. He was also a member in a number of bowling leagues in the Fitchburg area. In Arizona, he was an officer of the Gilbert Community Action Program Board, an active member of the Gilbert Senior Center and the American Red Cross.
Mr. Vienneau is survived by his wife, Angelina; his son, Arthur and his wife Susan Vienneau of Bel Air, Md.; a daughter, Joanne Veinneau of Gilbert, Ariz.; a daughter-in-law, Ann Vienneau of Hamilton Square, N.J.; his sister, Clarisse Vienneau of Winchendon; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. Mr. Vienneau was predeceased by his son, David Vienneau in 2002; his brother, Lauri Vienneau; two sisters, Laura Dupuis and Irene Duguay; and other siblings.

He is survived by his wife Angie, 2670 Pine Grove Rd, #3310, York Pa. 17403, son Arthur and Susan Vienneau of Bel Air, MD; daughter Joanne Vienneau of Gilbert, AZ; daughter-in-law Ann Vienneau of Hamilton Square, NJ; his sister Clarisse Vienneau of MA; seven grandchildren, including Scott and Chris Paquette, formerly of AZ; five great grandchildren, including Zachary Paquette of Mesa, AZ. Funeral arrangements and burial were in Fitchburg, Ma.
