  	Obituary Feb. 11, 2003 Hanover Post:Avril Mary Scott was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia in 1908.  She lived in the Maritimes until 1946, when she and her husband Fred moved to Montreal, becoming residents of Hanover in 1963,  Mrs. Scott was always an active volunteer in the community.  While living in Montreal she served as a Sunday School teacher and as a leader in girls' youth groups.  She was made an honourary life member of the Women's Missionary Society W.D. of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.  After coming to Hanover she served on the Auxiliary of the Hanover and District Hospital for 40 years and was made a life member.  Mrs. Scott was the dearly loved wife of Fred Scott and dear mother of two daughters, Dorothy (Robert Stoutjesdyk) of Edmonton and Mary (James Campbell) of Toronto.  She also leaves five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her brothers Norman, Sydney and Carl Percy Smith, and her sister Dorothy Burns.  She also leaves two nephews, Fred Burns of Boston and Scott Smith of Nanaimo, B.C.  Visitation will be held at the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 pm.  Interment in the Hanover Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Hanover and District Hospital Auxiliary, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
