Walter Frederick Milburn 1913 - 2002 Walter Frederick Milburn, of Moncton, passed away at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Sunday, December 8, 2002 at the age of 89. Born in Albert, NB, he was the son of the late Archie and Alberta (Gough) Milburn. He was a woodsman and attended Albert Baptist Church. Walter worked in the woods from the age of 14. During his years he worked, hunted and fished in Albert County without the aid of a compass, showing an intimate knowledge of every road and trail. He was a teller of many stores of his adventures, many of which were true. In his youth he and his brother were well known locally for their ball playing. Many local people have fond memories of the rivalry amongst the ball teams in Albert County. He is survived by one daughter, Carole (John) Coleman of Albert Mines, NB; two sons, Peter (Lorraine) of Rothesay and Richard (Marie) of Petitcodiac; one brother, Reid (Gertrude) Milburn of Moncton; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Ina (Murray) Milburn in February 2002; seven brothers, Avard, Lloyd, Peter, Roy, Don, Claude and Murray; one sister. Mary. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 10, 2002 from 11:30 am until time of funeral service at 1:30 pm from the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Bunting officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell Hill Cemetery. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Bennett and Albert County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated, also requested that perfume not be worn.
