      McNutt, Moncle Samuel (Mont) - 88, West Amherst, died December 3, 1997, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Melrose, N.B., he was a son of the late George and Hattie (Ogden) McNutt. He had worked as a carpenter for over 50 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Amherst, and had served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. He had been a licensed hunting guide for a number of years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, gardening and traveling. Surviving are his second wife, the former Beatrice [sic] (MacAloney) Sears; sons, William, Credition, Ont.; Mont Jr., Chilliwack, B.C.; Gordon, Zurich, Ont.;sister, Bertha, New Zealand; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren;several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Martha Ogden; daughter, Elaine; sons, Beverly, Lester; sisters, Jennie Allen, Eva Spence; several brothers. No visitation by request. Memorial service 2 p.m., today in Cumberland Memorial Chapel, Amherst, Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Spring burial in Sackville Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made at Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst to Highland View Regional Hospital Foundation, Amherst Branch V.O.N., or any charity.
