Obituary
BOYCE, Alice E. "Eleanor" - 74 years, of Mechanic Street, Springhill, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008, in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Anna (Bourque) White. Eleanor was a lady of great spirit despite her ailments. She loved her family unconditionally and especially enjoyed good times spent with her grand and great-grandchildren. She was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Springhill, and enjoyed playing cards, conversing on the computer with family and friends and doing puzzles. She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Boyce; son, Thomas "Tom" (Heather) Boyce, Dartmouth; daughters, Catherine (Wayne) Burke, Antigonish; Greta (Joe) Glynn, Borden, Ont.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Spence, Oxford; Alice (George) McKay, Diligent River; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Leonard, Edward, and Breton. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, Father David MacDonald officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill. If so desired, donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
