BROWN, JEAN ANN - It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving wife and treasured mom Jean Ann Siddall Sears Brown, 77, of Lakeville, NB on Monday, July 27, 2009 following a brief illness. Jean Ann was born in Sackville, NB on August 17, 1931, the daughter of C. Frank Siddall and Dorothy Burgoyne Siddall Inch. Jean Ann was a retired Employment Insurance agent with 27 years of service, retiring in 1990. Jean Ann was very close with her family and always cherished special moments with them. JA was an avid golfer during the summer and a winter bridge player, leaving many close friends behind to mourn. She had a real zest for life and enjoyed travelling with her husband. She was a great cook and always looked forward to sharing a meal with her dear family and friends. Her many backyard friends, all of whom she had named, will miss her too! Jean Ann will be dearly missed by her partner and husband of 23 years, Les Brown. She was predeceased by her first husband Curley (CG) Sears in 1978. She also sadly leaves behind four children: Linda Sears Tower (Nevin), Randy Sears (Bettie), Polly Sears Mulligan (Gil), Tim Sears (Chris) and step-daughter Nancy Brown. Her beloved siblings will miss her greatly: Jack Siddall (Barb), Dodie Maxwell (Ron), Bob Siddall (Lois) and Dick Siddall (Mary); Grandchildren: Drew Tower (Jennifer), Dustin Tower (Angela), Devon Tower, Brittany and Nathan Sears, Katie and Nicholas Mulligan and step-grandson Christopher Brown; Great grandchildren: Lucas, Eli and Zander Tower. Visiting hours at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home 114 Alma Street Moncton (857-1110), 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday, July 30, 2009. Funeral service will take place on July 31, 2009 at St. Philip's Anglican Church, 30 Lynch Street at 11am. We invite you to share in a celebration of Jean Ann's life in the church hall following the service. Please join us and share special memories. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses on 6600 and Palliative Care at the Moncton Hospital for the exceptional care provided to Jean Ann. Thanks to Father Borthwick for his prayers and many visits with mom providing great solace to her during her illness. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and Friends of the Moncton Hospital Oncology and Palliative Care Units would be appreciated by her family.
