Kenneth Lowerison
1939-2011
With profound sadness, we the family, wish to announce the passing of Kenneth Lowerison on October 6, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 72. Born in Dorchester, he was the son of the late Bliss Carman and Jane (Holmes) Lowerison.
In his younger years, Kenneth worked for Canadian National Railways, and in 1965 started as a guard at the Dorchester County Jail, working his way up to becoming the Superintendent of the Dorchester Provincial Jail in 1972, finally retiring in 1996.
He was also a volunteer for the Dorchester Fire Department, retiring as the Deputy Chief and a Councilor/Deputy Mayor for the Village of Dorchester over a sixteen year span.

Kenneth will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, Mary Jean (Gaudet); three sons, Robert (Donna), of Dorchester, Edward (Trish), of Sackville, and Jay (Denise), of Sackville; seven grandchildren, Erica, Adam, Kristin, Kyle, Sarah, Morgan, and Ria; brothers, Everett, Thomas, Blair (Lois) and Dean (Karen); sisters, Shirley (Edmond Clements), Connie (Late Charles) Adams and Jeannie; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parent, Kenneth was predeceased by his brother, Carman Jr, and sisters, Helen, Evelyn, and June.
Honoring Kenneth's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) from where visitation will be held Monday, October, 10, 2011 from 7-9 pm.  A memorial service will be held at 11 am from the funeral home on Tuesday, October 11. Father Kevin Stockall officiating.
Donations in Kenneth's memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Dr. Georges L Dumont Hospital Dialysis Unit.
A special thank you is extended to the nurses of the Extra-Mural for their kindness as well as all the doctors and nurses at the Sackville Memorial Hospital and the Dr. Georges L Dumont Hospital who assisted Ken during his illness.
