  	Obituary Heidi Byrnes Heidi Byrnes, 33 CARLSBAD -- Heidi Pfirrmann Byrnes, 33, passed away Saturday Feb. 16, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born June 2, 1974, in Orange County, Calif. Heidi went to San Francisco State University, and majored in anthropology. Her adventurous spirit led her to a year abroad in Zimbabwe, and a stint as a primate zookeeper at the San Francisco Zoo. Heidi then pursued a career in teaching, and was currently teaching elementary school at La Costa Meadows Elementary in San Marcos. There she was appreciated by students and colleagues alike for her intelligence, kindness, and grace. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and was a wonderful and irreplaceable mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Neal; parents, Lorraine and Don Pfirrmann; grandmother, Maddie Oliver of Oceanside; brother, Eric Pfirrmann; daughters, Nina, Daisy, and Emily. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Eternal Hills Cemetery in Oceanside. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heidi Byrnes Memorial Fund, at any Washington Mutual Bank, or to the La Costa Meadows Elementary School PTO.
