Obituary
The death of William Joseph "Joe" Foley of Oromocto, NB occurred on February 6th, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born July 19th, 1938, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Hurley) Foley and husband to Lorraine (Amos) Foley. Joe is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his children, Raymond (Crystal) of Alberta, Dwayne (Krista) of Lincoln and Patrick, Carrie and Elizabeth of Ontario; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Liam), Matthew, Alex and Alyssa; two great-grandchildren, Collin and Kaiden; his brothers, Edward, Ben and Dan Foley of Newfoundland and Greg Foley of Saint John; his sister Mary King of Saint John and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Sylvester, Harry and Frank Foley. He was very active in his community being a member of the Knights of Columbus, The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 and the Oromocto Sports Wall of Fame.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 9th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 will hold a tribute at 7 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 10th, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Ken Weir as celebrant.
