      Herald - Jul 11, 2003 - ROBERTSON, C. Colena- 90, New Glasgow, died Wednesday, July 9 2003, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Barney's River Station, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Colena (Cameron) Robertson. She lived most of her life in Toronto and Milton, Ontario. Colena was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Milton and was a Sunday school teacher, a life member of the W.M.S., a faithful member of the Coronation Group, and John Milton Chapter of the I.O.D.E. Family was very important to Colena and she always maintained her Nova Scotia connections. Her concern and devotion to her nieces and nephews will be greatly missed by them. She enjoyed doing crafts and was gifted in that area. During the Second World War, she was a W.R.E.N. with the Royal Canadian Navy and was stationed at Stadacona, Halifax. Later she was employed by the Municipality of Toronto, working with the Department of Education, the City Library and Ministry of Corrections. She is survived by sisters, Sophia Akromas, Connecticut, USA; Evelyn Snider, Regina, Saskatchewan; Jean Ray, Kitchener, Ontario; sister-in-law, Pearl Robertson, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy and Ethel in infancy, and Isabel; brothers, Raymond, Gerald, Charlie, Harold and Arthur. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service and burial will be announced at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to Parkinson's Society of Canada or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to P & K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
