      CREELMAN (Hoeg), Barbara J. - February 19, 1936 - November 28, 2007.

Peacefully with grace and dignity in Ottawa Civic Hospital, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born in Amherst, a daughter of the late Sarah Agnes (Hicks) and Warren Leon Hoeg. She was the dearly loved wife and best friend of Ron; proud mother of three beautiful daughters, Michelle Bettencourt of Maple Ridge, B.C.; Patty Parmiter (Ray) of Darmstadt, Germany; Cynthia (Steve Schramm) of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by sisters, Emma Conrad of Truro, and Grace Lee of Amherst; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Violet Wells; brothers, Warren and Norman Hoeg and two brothers in infancy, William and John. After high school in Amherst, she moved to Truro and worked for T. Eaton Company before marrying Ron, continuing her life journey as an RCAF wife. She was a consummate military wife, serving at Ron's side at many bases throughout Canada and the United States raising her three girls and always participating in the social and charitable activities of these communities. On retirement to Ottawa, after their final posting to the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C., Barb energetically pursued many interests: rug hooking, gardening, traveling, bowling to name a few. Barbara loved life and will be missed. The family will receive relatives and friends in Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orléans, on Friday, November 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A ceremony in her memory will follow at 12 p.m. in Heritage Chapel. Private family interment will be held on Saturday, December 1, in the National Military Cemetery (within Beechwood Cemetery). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of choice would be appreciated. Condolences and donations may be made at: www.heritagefh.ca
