Obituary
Stella Theresa Tingley, 99, of Forest Dale Home and formerly of Germantown passed away on January 27th, 2013 at the nursing home with her family and friends. Stella was born in Gallway, Albert County, NB, on April 17th,1913 the daughter of the late Francis and Ella (Breen) Doherty. Stella was a homemaker and loved raising her family. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church and was a member of the CWL. Her faith was very important to her. She also belonged to the Albert County Hospital Auxiliary and the UCW. Â She enjoyed knitting and cooking, she was known for her bread and was still making bread when she was 90. She lived in her own home until the age of 91. Her main goal in her life was her family and she loved them all very much, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren were here pride and joy. Stella had a sweet smile and was known for her kindness. Whenever you met her in the hallway at the nursing home you always got a nice hello and that beautiful smile. She was truly a great lady. Stella will be deeply missed by her five daughters, Mabel Hoar (Donald) of Riverview, Dorothy Dixon of Hopewell Hill, Gloria Enman of Fall River, NS, Luella Armstrong of Ingersoll, ON and Ruth Dornan of Moncton; sons, Cyril Tingley (Mary) of Harvey and Wayne Tingley of Germantown; her several treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; close friend and sister-in-law, Isabelle Tingley of Truro. She will also be missed by her good friend, Jeff Tower of Germantown who always made sure Stella was looked after and made many visits to the nursing home. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ewart Tingley; infant son, Ivan and son, Peter Tingley; son-in-laws, Jack Enman, James Dixon, Lavern Armstrong; brother, Walter Doherty. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers and a time of sharing will take place on Tuesday evening at the funeral home at 8:30pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 30th, 2013 at 11:00am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill at a later date. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further fellowship and for refreshments following the service at the funeral home.
