STRANG, William B. (Bill) - 84, Halifax, formerly of Port Clyde, Shelburne County, died September 8, 1994, in Northwood Centre. Born in Port Clyde, he was a son of the late Ervie and Bessie (Atkinson) Strang. He spent most of his working years in construction. He was a member of the Port LaTour United Baptist Church. He was a past grand master of the IOOF Lodge and past master of the Philadelphia Lodge 47, Barrington Passage. He is survived by his wife, the former Edna MacKay; three sons, David, Gander, Nfld.; Al, Moncton, N.B.; Paul, Dartmouth; brother, Haywood, Shubenacadie; five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Dickson; brother, Kenneth; grandson, Stephen. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Port Clyde Cemetery, Rev. Gordon Simmonds officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwood Home Care or any charity. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax.
