Obituary
It was with deep regret that the friends and family of Roby K. STRANG learned of his death on June 4th in Colbourne, Ont. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Strang of Tidnish Bridge and was born in that place in 1884. He went West when a young man where he was an engineer of the Department of Lands and Forests for 36 years. After his retirement in 1950 he, with his wife, the former Maude Gervin of Ottawa, moved to Colborne to live. He was devoted to his garden and rose arbor, and had a cheery word for all. Surviving besides his wife, are three sisters and three brothers, Ida, (Mrs. George Smith) and Ernest of Nova Scotia, Fred, Harry, Lillian and Gertrude (Mrs. Russell Jackson) all of Toronto. A large number of friends and relatives from Nova Scotia, Toronto, North Bay, Peterborough, Ottawa and Huntsville came to pay their last respects to the deceased. The funeral was held from Trinity Church, Colborne. The pallbearers were six eldest nephews representing the families of both Mr. and Mrs. Strang. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The funeral arrangements were in charge of Bud Barnes.
