Mrs. Bessie Alnora Winters
Oxford, Cumberland County - Mrs. Bessie Alnora Winters, 79, of Oxford and
formerly of Northport, Cumberland County, died Wednesday in Highland View
Regional Hospital, Amherst.
Born in Little River, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late
Edward and Sarah Warren. Surviving are three daughters, Vera (Mrs. Clifford
Allen), Pugwash; Rose (Mrs. Melvin Ripley), Amherst Head, and Nora (Mrs.
Gerald Goodwin), Jolicure, N.B.; eight sons, Hance, Wainfleet, Ont.; Harvey,
Truro Heights; Louis, Hamilton, Ont.; Carl, London, Ont.; Fred and William,
both of Halifax; Frank, Oxford, and Jack, Dartmouth; a sister, Mrs. Annie
Hughes, Parrsboro; 35 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was
predeceased by a daughter, Josephine, and two sons, Orland and Keith. The
body is in W. I. Mundle Funeral Home, Pugwash. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday
in St. George¹s Anglican Church, Pugwash, Rev. Leslie Robertson officiating,
with burial in St. George¹s Cemetery, Parrsboro.
