Obituary
PRICE, JOSEPH MURRAY (JOEY) - Joseph Murray (Joey) Price passed peacefully away on April 25, 2003 after a long battle with cancer. Joey was born November 19, 1951 in the village of Tabusintac in northern New Brunswick where he enjoyed a happy childhood surrounded by family and friends. He moved to Saint John in 1960 and lived there until moving to Vancouver in 1969. Joey worked for the Post Office for a number of years, prior to studying Broadcast Journalism at BCIT. He then worked as a cameraman at TV stations in BC, most notably with CKVU. During his lifetime he traveled extensively in Europe, Australia and Asia. Joey is survived by his mother, Kathleen; sisters Valerie (Jimmie), Edna (Harold); brother Ernie (Barbara); nieces, Heather (Gerry), Alanna and Hayley; and grandnieces, Kyla and Tianna. Joey also leaves a great number of relatives and friends whom he treasured throughout his life. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Derek Lowe and the nurses at Peace Arch Hospital for the care and comfort they provided Joey. A memorial service will be held April 30, 2003 at 2 pm at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1480 George Street, White Rock. Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 604-536-6522.
