Obituary
Mimie Kathleen Tingley, of the Forest Dale Nursing Home, Riverside Albert and formerly of Lower Coverdale, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the age of 89 years.
Born in Lyttleton, NB on April 30, 1913, she was the daughter of the late William and Lelia (White) Matthews. Mimie was a school teacher, teaching in various grade schools in New Brunswick, retiring in 1973.
She is survived by her husband Blair Allen Tingley, daughters: Janet and Elizabeth "Libby" Tingley, both of Toronto, ON; sons: John and his wife Denise of Hopewell Cape, NB and Bruce and his wife Tanya of Riverview, NB; sister Fern Starr of Houston, Texas; brother Garfield Matthews of Orillia, ON and four grandchildren. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters: Marjorie, Eva, Martha and Della; also brothers: Wilmore, Frank and Gordon.
A celebration of Mimie's life will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Road on Saturday, March 8, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Lay Reader Shon Whitney officiating. Interment will be in Lower Coverdale (Wilmot) Cemetery in the spring.
In Mimie's memory, donation made to the Canadian Bible Society or to the Forest Dale Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
