Obituary
FILLMORE, STERLING W. - The death of Sterling W. Fillmore, formerly of Carpenter Drive, husband of the late Annie (Hunter) Fillmore, occurred on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Turnbull Nursing Home. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late George and Ida (Marr) Fillmore. Sterling was employed with Saint John Shipbuilding as a painter, and he was an avid gardener. He is survived by sons Donald (Joan) Fillmore, of Quispamsis; and Sterling (Linda) Fillmore, of Royalton, NB; brother Ernie Fillmore; sister Ruth Sewell, of Saint John; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by son Peter, brothers Stewart, Willard, Brun and Harold, sisters Grace, Greata, Lillian and Muriel. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) with visiting on Monday, March 7, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Rothesay Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
