    • Bona-vol.2,p.427-428-b.yr,marr.info;arrived in Canada in 1685 as a volunteer seaman;lived in lower Quebec fron 1685 to 1690 with Pierre Lezeau,barque master;accompanied Pierre LeMoyne d'Iberville on most of his campaigns,including that of Hudson Bay; arrived in Acadia with d'Iberville in 1696...In 1704, he was taken prisonner with all the members of his family, at the time of the attack by Colonel Church against Port Royal, and brought in captivity to Boston where he was guarded as a hostage. After his liberation, he returned to Port Royal where he lived in the 'secteur du Cap', near the fort, and he navigated a schooner between Port Royal, Les Mines(Grand Pre and Pisiguit), Beaubassin,Chipoudy,Petitcoudiac and Sainte Anne du Pays Bas(Fredericton) 'pour son compte'. About 1730 he settled at Riviere Saint Jean, N.B., actually where he was one of the pioneers of Sainte Anne du Pays Bas(Fredericton today).
