Name change from Martyn to Martin P.A.N.S., P.A.N.S., RG48 Reel 550(w) -RO Notes for Sean martin Charity Bellamy's third marriage. Sean Martin was a captain in colonel Winslow's expedition to capture Fort Beausejour in 1755. Martin had brought with him to Westmorland Point a family of black slaves. He gave them their freedom afterward, and they took his name of Martin. Charity and Martin settled in Jolicure. -RO Will was made 20 September 1777. Describes his as "late of Cumberland County." So he likely met Charity there and they moved to Jolicure??
