      BROWNELL, Margaret Howard, R.N. - 77, 16 Union St., Stellarton, passed away at home. Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late W.D. and Margaret (Howard) Watters. Margaret lived her early years in Stellarton, then having lived in Halifax and Amherst during her marriage and returning to Stellarton where she had resided for the past 15 years. She was a registered nurse having graduated from Moncton City Hospital, then nursed at the Halifax Infirmary, also at the Amherst Regional Hospital as a supervisor. She was an adherent of Sharon St. John United Church and was a member of Branch No. 28 Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are daughter, Norma (Bob) Chisholm, Bedford; granddaughter, Catherine Strickland, Bedford, and grandson, Jeff Strickland, Moncton; great-grandson, Brendon Alex Patton; sisters, Claire Sutherland and Anna Campbell, both of Stellarton; a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Norman; brothers, Warren, Harvey and Bill; sister, Mary. Her remains will rest in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home for visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, where funeral service will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. with Rev. John Roy officiating. Burial will be in Lorneville Cemetery. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, Maritime Region, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of one's choice.
