  	Obituary MacDONALD, Ewan Rod - 82, Amherst, passed away at home. Born in Broughton, Cape Breton, on October 23, 1923, he was a son of the late Isabel (MacIssac) and Malcom MacDonald. Ewan operated the Trail Bus Line and worked for many years for Acadian Coach Lines. A veteran of the Second World War, he was stationed in London and Brussels. He leaves to mourn sister, Effie MacIntosh, Glace Bay; brothers, James MacDonald, Sydney; Calder (Georgie) MacDonald, Glace Bay; sister-in-law, Helen (Gordon) Baird, Amherst; brothers-in-law, James (Andrea) Rhindress, Amherst; Eddie Taylor, Glace Bay; many nieces and nephews and good friends and neighbours. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Madeline Rhindress in 2004, and sisters, Margaret, Audrey, and Ruth. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held in Amherst Cemetery today at 2 p.m. with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch, or the charity of choice.
