Translation by A.Owen: At the end of 1811 when Desbarres fortune turned for the worst, young men came to Minudie. This was the case of Jean and Emmanuel, sons of 'Jean-Andre' Lelanc, of Jean, son of Pierre Bourque, also of Laurent and Simon, sons of 'captain' Laurent Bourgeois. It was then a colony with reduced attacks of 'yellow fever'.
