Name Charles dit Litan Melanson Born 13 Sep 1738 Port Royal Gender Male Died Abt 1788 Notes - Bona-vol.2,p.693-b.yr,marr.info;he was at July 1768 when his daug, Anne, was baptised;at Windsor the 29 Aug 1768 when his marriage was revalidated and at Baie Ste Marie in 1771. J03-p.136-married in a civil ceremony in 1765 to Nanette Leger who was the daug of Joseph and Claire LeBlanc of Champs Elyses. Their marr. was rehabilitated at Pisiguit on 29 Aug 1768. Charles was the only son of Charles who settled in Acadia. Other members of the family were deported to New England and, about 1768, they emigrated to Quebec. Charles was one of the "original tenants" of Desbarres at the Champs Elyses in 1768. He died between the years 1787 and 1789 because in the 1790 census, it reads: Widow Melanson, males 4, females 2.
