      MacKAY, Mary Laura - 95, Riverview, Cumberland County, died July 3, 1994, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst.  Born at Mount Pleasant, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Dora (McCormack) Dickie.  She was a member of Calvary United Church, Port Howe; life member of UCW and charter member and past matron of Sunrise Chapter 50, Order of the Eastern Star, Pugwash.  She is survived by four daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. Ray Dixon), Riverview; Mildred (Mrs. Hazen Dixon), Oxford; Shirley (Mrs. John Fortier), Summerside, P.E.I.; Marjorie (Mrs. William Alderman), Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ont.; sister, Mrs. Etta McCarthy, Pugwash; brother, Harris, Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her husband Alexander Layton; daughter, Amy; son, George; two children in infancy; five sisters, Amy Fraser, Annie King, Janet Fahey, Clara, Bessie; three brothers, Owen, Minar, George.  Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening in Allen's Funeral Home, Oxford.  Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary United Church, Port Howe, Rev. Meredith Fraser officiating, assisted by Rev. Charles E. Taylor.  Burial will be in Port Howe Cemetery.  Family flowers only.  Donations may be made to Calvary United Church Memorial Fund or any charity.
