      JACKSON, Ruth Lorraine - 55, East Leicester, Cumberland Co., passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 16, 2005, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amhert, with family by her side. Born in East Leicester, she was a daughter of Olive M. (Carter) Jackson, East Leicester, and the late Avery W. Jackson. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters Elizabeth Temple No. 6, Amherst. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed doing her embroidery work and was an avid gardener. She was a former member of the Colfax Rebekah Lodge No. 7, Oxford. Surviving are daughters, Gloria Wilson (James), East Leicester; Annette Jackson (Jerry), Amherst; son, Wayne Jackson (Glenna Mae), East Leicester. Also surviving are grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Erica, Cooper, and Dylan; sisters, Faye Kavalak (Norman), Springhill; Heather Milner (Raymond), Salem, Cumberland Co.; Joyce Carscadden (John), Amherst; Sylvia Baker (Roger), Northport, Cumberland Co.; Joan Porteous, Calgary, Alta.; Donna Jackson (Joe), Wood Point, N.B.; Lorna Funk (Rick), Calgary, Alta.; Eleanor Jackson (Craig), Edmonton, Alta.; brother, Walter Jackson "Bubs" (Linda), East Leicester; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sister, Shirley Jackson, and by a sister and a brother in infancy. Visitation will be held this evening in Allen's Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford. The Pythian Sisters Elizabeth Temple No. 6, Amherst will hold a tribute service in the funeral home this evening at 6:45 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. in Little River United Baptist Church, Rev. Connie Stewart officiating. Interment will take place in Mansfield Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
