      GORVEATTE, Donald Keith May 10, 1933 - March 12, 2003

      SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Donald K. Gorveatte, age 69, of Sackville, N.B., occurred on Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, N.B. Born on May 10, 1933 in Amherst, N.S., he was the son of Helen (Layton) Gorveatte and the late Borden Gorveatte. Donald played music and was involved in bands for over fifty years and he taught many children how to play the guitar over the years. He was very involved in charity and church affiliations and in his community. He worked for over thirty six years for the Government of Canada. Donald was a great lover of people and of all children. Donald will be sadly missed by his wife of nearly forty eight years, Shirley K. (Corey) Gorveatte of Sackville, N.B.; his mother, Helen Gorveatte of Sackville, N.B.; one son, David (Shirley L.) Gorveatte of Fredericton, N.B.; one daughter, Donna Gorveatte and special friend John McDonald of Moncton, N.B.; one brother, Rev. Dr. Kenneth (Anne) Gorveatte of Florida, USA; sister-in-law, Marg Gorveatte of Dartmouth, N.S.; five grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Emily Gorveatte, Rebecca and Jessica Jones; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Borden Gorveatte and a brother, Douglas Gorveatte. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Vistitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Middle Sackville United Baptist Church on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at 2 pm with Rev. Vernon Veickruck officiating. Burial will take place in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, N.B. In lieu of flowers donations in Donald's memory may be made to the Middle Sackville United Church Building Fund or to the charity of one's choice.
