      TRENHOLM, Ivan Freestone - age 90, of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan. Born in Fort Lawrence, he was a son of the late Charles and Blanche (Smith) Trenholm. Ivan was a member of Trinity - St. Stephen's United Church and a Charter Member of the Amherst Y's Men's Club. He retired from the Department of Agriculture in 1984. Ivan is survived by his special friend, Jessie Wakefield of Amherst; daughters, Barb Yorston and Charlotte (Bill) Prime both of Amherst Shore; son, Alan (Jane Stewart) of Halifax; grandchildren, Sandra, Renata, Angela, Michael and Rachel Mae; six great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen Wright of Penticton, B.C. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Isabel Runcie; son-in-law, Bob Yorston, and brothers Ralph and Norman. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation on Thursday, August 13, from 6 - 9 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). A private funeral service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, contributions can be made to the Amherst YMCA Endowment Fund, or Cumberland Regional Health Care Foundation. www.campbells-amherst.ca
