Obituary
Russell Trenholm 1934-2015
It is with the realization of the circle of life that the Family of Russell B Trenholm of Fort Lawrence NS, announce his release from this world on December 27th, 2015 at The Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan. Russell passed on peacefully with his Family at his bedside.
Russell was first and foremost a Farmer and Woodsman who had much respect for the land and all life that dwelt upon it. He was also the first person ever hired at Maritime Sod Ltd. and worked there for over 30 years. Russell was at his happiest with his Family gathered around a table loaded with the bounty which he had grown, raised, and hunted. Russell lived his whole life on the old Family homestead at Fort Lawrence.
Born in Aulac NB, Russell was the only child of the late Frank J Trenholm and Myrtle E (Trueman) Trenholm. He is survived by sons Frank, Fort Lawrence, NS, Douglas (Bonnie), Abbotsford, BC, Garnet (Julie), Fort Lawrence, NS, Ronald, Chapmans Settlement, NS and Robert, Lower Sackville, NS, and daughter, Evelyn, Amherst NS, his special friend Alice Siddal, Sackville NB and mother of his children, Margaret Carter, Amherst, NS. His legacy also includes 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
His remains have been entrusted to the care of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst NS, for cremation. Respecting Russell’s request there will be no funeral service. Burial will take place at a private Family ceremony where his remains will be placed next to his parents in Point de Bute, NB.
