It is with heavy hearts that the family of Arnold “Gregory” Siddall age 61 of Amherst announce his passing on Friday, December 16, 2016 at his residence in Amherst Shore where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Born in Amherst, he was the son of the late Arnold and Natalie (Bird) Siddall.
Greg was a musician at heart. All through his life he played bass guitar and sang harmony with various bands of all genres. His love of the blues led him to being the bass guitarist for Big Daddy Shad and the Mark Green Band. Greg was very proud of his musical accomplishments including winning quarter finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN with the Mark Green Band this past January 2016. He cared dearly for all his fellow musicians and his family.
Greg will be deeply missed by his daughters Melissa (Darren MacKay) Siddall and Sacha (Chuck) Bickford; brother John (Bea) Siddall; sister Bev (Gerard) Cooke; niece Jennifer (Jonathan) Berry; nephews Timothy (Mylene) Cooke, Thom (Erin) Cooke and Tyler (Petra) Cooke; grandchildren Dylan and Keegan MacKay, Braxton and Brylee Bickford.
A celebration of Greg’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at his daughter Sacha’s residence at 259 D’Orsay Rd, Amherst.
