      MRS. G. ERNEST BLACK - OXFORD - Funeral service was held Aug. 15 at the Church of the Nazarene for Mrs. Ernest Black of Oxford, who died Aug. 13 at Lockhart's Nursing Home in Amherst after a lengthy illness at the age of 77. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Mattinson of Mount Pleasant, she was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, and a life member of both the Women's Missionary Society an the British and Foreign Bible Society. Mrs. Black is survived by her husband; one daughter Sylvia (Mrs. Thomas H. Berry), Halifax; one brother Floyd S. Mattinson, Riverview, N.S.; and two sisters, Mrs. James P. Fraser and Mrs. Angus Dixon, both of Oxford. Rev. R. R. Cribbis officiated at the funeral service. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford.
