  Obituary	Obituary B. Glenn Atkinson 1935 - 2010 Atkinson, B. Glenn - 75, of West Brook, Cumberland County passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan. Born in Springhill, he was the son of the late Gordon C. and Hazel B. (Thorpe) Atkinson. For much of his life Glenn cared for the family farm and drove a school bus. In later years he also operated Glenn's Country Market. He was currently Chief of the Southampton and District Fire Department, and was a member for more than 30 years. He served as a Trustee, Deacon and choir member of the Parrsboro United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris (Brown), sons Joe (Carissa) West Brook, Mark (Pauline) Riverview N.B., sister Carmieta Erickson (Carl), Melbourne Beach Florida, brothers Courtney (Jess) Kelowna B.C., Carson, Chipman N.B., Grandchildren Ryan, Megan and Graham. Visitation will be held 7-9 Thursday [April 29, 2010] at Smiths Funeral Home Parrsboro. Funeral will be held Friday [April 30, 2010] at 2pm at the Parrsboro Baptist Church, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Burial in the West Brook Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Parrsboro Baptist Church or charity of choice.
