Sadie Stright
MURRAY CORNER - The death of Sadie Stright, age 90, widow of Harry Stright of Murray Corner, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, September 9, 2003. Born in Port Hill, PEI, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Boyle) Strongman. Sadie was a member of the East Westmorland Senior Citizen's, and the Murray Corner United Church. Sadie will be sadly missed by two sons, Kermath (Gertrude) of Bayfield, and Sheldon (Doreen) of Lismore, NS; a daughter, Joyce (Donald) Clark, of Stickney, NB; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 2000; a daughter, Doris in 1980; and a foster daughter, Iona in 1970. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St, Port Elgin with visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held at the Murray Corner United Church on Friday, September 12, 2003 at 2 pm, Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiating. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Murray Corner United Church or a charity of the donor's choice. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
