  	Obituary The death of Sydney Field, age 78, of Bayfield, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 6, 2007. Born in Murray Corner, he was a son of the late George and Cora (Walton) Field. Sydney was a school bus driver and mechanic's helper with the local school board retiring with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Wesley United Church. Sydney will be sadly missed by his wife Loretta (Ash), Bayfield, 3 daughters, Carol (Scott) Selby, Susan (Lee) MacGlashing, Sally (Blair) Spence; 2 sons, Hugh and Terry (Debbie); 7 grandchildren, Corey, Julie, Michael, Daryl, Jordan, Preston and Jennifer; 3 brothers, Eric (Roberta), Lysle (Sadie) and Bernard (Evelyn); nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Harry and a sister Marjorie. The remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main Street, Port Elgin (538-2241) from where visitation will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Wesley United Church, Bayfield on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 2 pm, LPMiT Bill Drysdale officiating. Burial in the Bayfield Cemetery in the spring. Donations to the Extra Mural Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
