  Obituary	Obituary Elsie A. Harlowe 1920-2011 Harlowe (Brownell), Elsie A. -- 90, of Halifax, passed away peacefully January 11, 2011, surrounded by her family, at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Natalie (Oulton) Brownell. Elsie dearly loved her family, enjoyed her weekly bridge games and looked forward to tending her flower and vegetable gardens at her summer home in Pugwash. She will be missed by her daughters Grace (Ross) McCurdy, Halifax and Jean (Howard) Ward, Calgary, her four grandchildren: Jeffrey (Arleigh) McCurdy, Jane McCurdy, Natalie Ward and Nicole (Jeff) Shih and her two great grandchildren Keira and Connor Shih. Predeceased by sister Grace and brothers Millage and Martyn. As she wished, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). A family service will take place this summer.
