      HIERLIHY, ERNEST EDGAR 1934 - 2002 With sorrow and regret we announce Ernie's passing at the Halifax Infirmary on October 31, 2002, the result of a heart attack he suffered in Moncton on October 11, 2002. Ernie was a retired long-time Bank of Nova Scotia employee, whose banking career began in Moncton in 1951, and took him to O'Leary, PEI, Kentville, NS, and Florenceville and Saint John, NB. In retirement he pursued many activities, including working in the blueberry business with his son-in-law. Ernie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Edith (O'Blenes); his six children Patty (Dan) Cole, of Riverview NB, Michael (Monica) of Toronto, David (Barb) of Saint John, Gary of Toronto, Joanne (Kevin) McCully of Fredericton, and Greg (Bonnie) of Saint John; his 7 siblings, Glen (Julia), Jean (Boucher) Palmer, Frank (Shirley), Laurie (Jeanette, Lois (Marson) Martin, Dorothy (Bill) MacCallum, and Mildred (Gordon) MacWilliams; his 11 grandchildren Leslie Tibbo (20), Michelle Hierlihy (17), Nicholas Hierlihy (16), Katherine Cole (13), Jessica Hierlihy (11), Oliver Hierlihy (11), Rachel Cole (10), Anna McCully (10), Kara McCully (8), Luke McCully (6) and Connor Hierlihy (9 months). Ernie was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life with family, friends and colleagues, for which he was much loved and respected. Visitation is on Friday, November 1st, 7 to 9 pm at St. Andrew's United Church in Tabusintac, NB. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 2 pm at St. Andrew's United Church in Tabusintac, NB. At the request of the family donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements in care of Davidson's Funeral Service Ltd. (622-7464)
