      COLLIER, Frederick "Fred" Anderson
Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick to John and Annie Collier. Frederick Anderson Collier, left us to join his wife of 63 years, Dolores (died September 23, 2011). Father of John and Donald (Tara). Grandpa of Stephanie and Lindsay. Step-grandpa to Zach, Alex and Kel. We will truly miss a wise, charming & clever gentleman. His humor & insight were appreciated by all who knew him. Until their move to Kanata, Fred and Dolores were avidly involved with Carp Bridge Groups, St. James Anglican Church and the Carp Library. Fred also served overseas in WWII with the RCAF as a pilot. Thank you to the wonderful people at the ROH Geriatrics North whose expertise, dedication and compassion taught us to celebrate brief victories for Fred. At Fred's request, there is no visitation. In the spring, we will lay his ashes with Dolores at United Church Cemetery (Pine Grove), Carleton Place. Donations in Fred's memory to St. James Anglican Church in Carp, the Royal Ottawa Hospital (Geriatric North), or the Alzheimer's Society would be truly appreciated.
