Obituary
The funeral of the late Charles Edward Oulton, who passed away at Tidnish, was held Sunday afternoon from the Lorneville United Church. Â Rev. A. Moore of Baie Verte had charge of the service assisted by Rev. J. Douglas of Northport. Â The hymns sung by the Lorneville choir were "The Old Rugged Cross", by special request: Â "Lead Kindly Light" and "In the Garden". Â Mrs. Charles Stewart was organist. Â There were many floral tributes. Â Interment was made in the Lorneville cemetery. Â The pallbearers were five grandsons and a nephew, Ross and Russell Beaton, Guy and Donald Oulton, Darrell Oulton and Carmen Chapman. Â The late Mr. Oulton is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alex Beaton of Lorneville and Mrs. Blair Chappell of Truemanville, and two sons, Manford of Amherst and Edgar of Tidnish with whom he resided; one sister, Mrs. Burton Cloney of Edmonton, Alta., and one brother, Ellsworth of Framingham, Mass., eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Â His wife and one son predeceased him thirty-seven years ago.
