      The Methodist Church presented a brilliant appearance Tuesday morn., the occasion being the marriage of Kathleen C. Connell second d/o late Geo. H. Connell and George E. FISHER, Chatham (North. Co.). Rev. T.J. Deinstadt performed the ceremony. The bride was attended by Miss Alice KETCHUM, Saint John and her sister Miss Mary Louise Connell. Frank GREGORY of Fredericton supported the groom.

      Woodstock, Aug. 17- A large monument of gret granite from the granite works at Carleton has been erected in the cemetery in memory of the late Hon. Charles Connell, M.P.P. and his son, George H. Connell, M.P. The inscriptions are: Hon Charles Connell, M.P. died 28th June A.D. 1878, aged 63 years. Fourteen years a member of the legislative and executive councils of New Brunswick and for twenty-five years a representative of Carleton County in the Provincial and Dominion Parliaments; George Heber Connell, M.P., representative of Carleton County in the Dominion Parliament. Died at Ottawa Feb. 16th, A.D. 1881, aged 44 years.
