Charles Everett Tingley 1921 - 2008 The death of Charles Everett Tingley, 86, of Moncton, formerly of Riverside-Albert, occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, July 4, 2008, following a lengthy illness. Born October 27, 1921 in Midway, NB, he was the son of the late Darcey and Harriett (Gough) Tingley. Charlie lived a full, productive life; he was a hard worker who had been employed as a lumberman in his earlier years, served as a Private in the Army, a land surveyor with the Department of Transport and spent twenty-two years as an employee of Fundy National Park up to the date of his retirement at age 65. Charlie had a sharp wit and was always ready to share a good story or silly little joke with family and friends. He had a strong faith in God and was an honorary deacon of the Albert Baptist Church. He was a very gentle, kind man who will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, of 59 years, Stella (Cameron); sons, Austin (Barb) of Hillsborough, Ernie (Florence) of Mississauga, Ivan of Riverside-Albert and Terry (Kim) of Riverview; daughters, Barbara Spence (Larry) of Hillsborough, Della Steeves of Hillsborough, Loretta Weir (Greg) of Lower Coverdale; special grand-daughter, Tammy (Jason) of Riverview; two brothers, George (Elmonde) of Hillsborough and Arthur of Albert. He had 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter Beatrice; grandson, Lawrence; brothers, Melvin, Willard and James; sisters, Marion and Alice. Resting at Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape, NB with visitation Monday, July 7, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Albert Baptist Church, Albert, NB with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB. In Charlie's memory, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Riverside Albert Baptist Church, or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
