  	Obituary Verna V. (Stevens) MacLeod Verna V. (Stevens) MacLeod, 102, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough and formerly of Parkland Drive, Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, January 9, 2014. Born in Midway, Albert Co., she was the daughter of the late Holmes and Susan (Huckins) Tingley. Verna had been a member of Highfield Baptist Church since 1930, was past President of the Sunshine Class and served on the Teller Board for fifteen years with her church. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and the sick and spending precious time with her family and friends. Verna will be sadly missed by her daughter, Shirley (Stevens) McEwen (David) of Naples, FL; son, Gregory Stevens (Stacy Kelades-Stevens) of Sussex; grandchildren, Jane, Susan and John McEwen and Mark Stevens; ten great grandchildren; sister, Marie Dixson (late John) of Moncton; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Gordon E. Stevens (February 1974) and Donald N. MacLeod (June 1988); grandson, Steven McEwen; brothers, Howard, Earl and Everett Tingley and sisters, Nora and Cora. Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Celebration of Life Service for Verna will be held at Highfield Baptist Church on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Rev/ Daniel Cormier officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Verna’s memory, donations to Highfield Baptist Church Memorial Fund or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
