SCOTCH SETTLEMENT, NB - Mildred M. Teed, 97, of Scotch Settlement, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday December 15, 2005 after a brief illness. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late John and Edith (Dives) Tingley. Mildred was a retired secretary for Marvens Ltd., and several law firms in Moncton. She was a member of St. David's United Church, Scotch Settlement and Adherent of Mountain View United Church, life member of St. David's United Church U.C.W. and served her church in various capacities in past years. Former leader of the MacDougall Settlement 4H Garment Club, member of the 99 senior's club in her community, member of Frank H. Tingley #5 O.E.S. and former member of the Shediac Riding Club. Mildred had a great love for horses, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, quilting, working in her garden, baking and entertaining her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mildred will be sadly missed by her daughters, Margaret Murray (Late Lloyd) Scotch Settlement, Carol Gordon (Late Kendrick) Truro, NS; son, Ralph (Janet), Moncton; grandchildren, Katherine; Stephen; Michael; Jeffrey; Gordon; Mariam; and Deborah; 12 great grandchildren; special friend of the family, Leonard Coates, Scotch Settlement; brother, Blair Tingley, Riverside Albert; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Ernest E. Teed (1993); sister, Hilda; brother, Cecil. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, December 18, 2005, 2pm, Rev. Paul Cumming officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Scotch Settlement Cemetery.
