      Gonzague Caissie

      2/28/1929 –1/17/2013

      Cocagne – Gonzague Caissie, 83, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, January 17, 2013, after a lengthy illness.

      Born in Cap-de-Cocagne on February 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Eric(Horace) and Eva (Gaudet) Caissie.

      Gonzague will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Florentine Vienneau of Cocagne; his two sons, Eric Caissie (Armand) of Bas-Cap-Pelé and Roland Caissie of Moncton; his four daughters, Eva Cormier (Raymond) of St-Philippe, Jacinthe (Jay) Robichaud (Léonard) of Dieppe, Gisèle Richard (Rhéal Gautreau) of Shediac and Eliza LeBlanc (Jean-Paul) of St-Antoine; his brother, Wilfred Caissie (Imelda) of Dieppe; his three sisters, Raymonde Cormier (Willie) of Moncton, Marie-Anne Eagles (Bennett) and Laure Liljemark (Nils) both of Dieppe; his three grandchildren, Mark, Jean-François and Mathieu; his aunt, Aldéa Pellerin Cormier of St-Antoine; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

      Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, January 20 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. No visitations on Monday morning. Funeral service will be held at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church on Monday, January 21 at 11am.

      Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to thedonor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
