Dorothy Marion Armour 1906 - 2003 Dorothy Marion (Snowdon) Armour, of Riverview, and formerly of Taylor Village, Royal Court and recently the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, passed away at Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, August 24, 2003 at the age of 97. Born in Point de Bute, NB on August 3, 1906 she was the daughter of the late Fred and Jessie (Oulton) Snowdon. Dorothy was a school teacher who taught briefly at the Taylor Village School and a homemaker, she was a member of Mount Royal United Church and a life member of the Mount Royal U.C.W., life member of Dorchester United U.C.W. and a life member of Women's Missionary Society in Dorchester. She is survived by one daughter, E. Joyce Sherwood (George) of Kelowna, BC; twin sons, Charles A. Armour (Hedy) of Halifax, NS and Fred S. Armour (Elizabeth) of Riverview; seven grandchildren, Jeffery Armour (Pauline) of Smithville, ON, Tim Armour of Toronto, Steven Armour of Moncton, Shawn Sherwood (Tami Lee) of Regina, Cheryl Fries of Regina and Jim Sherwood (Janice) of Surrey, BC; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, F. Everett Armour in 1968; a brother, Arthur M. Snowdon and a granddaughter, Audrey J. Sherwood. Following cremation, there will be a memorial service at a later date. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Dorothy to Mount Royal United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
