A sad accident that had cast a gloom over the community occurred at Caledonia (Albert Co.) Wednesday eve. last week. The two sons of Samuel TINGLEY, Beecher TINGLEY and Lambert TINGLEY, having retured from a drive, the latter took the horse to the barn which is some distance from the house, while Beecher went into the house for the lantern. When he arrived at the barn, however, he found Lambert lying some distance from the stalls in an unconscious condition. There was a bruise on one eye and the skull was punctucted as if by a nail from which isssued blood and brain substance. Dr. Purdy was summoned with all haste, but could hold out no hopes of recovery. On Saturday afternoon the young man died without having recovered consciousness.
