Alonzo LeBlanc
Shediac, NB
Formerly from Cap-Pelé, Alonzo LeBlanc, 87, passed away peacefully at the Ti Bon Soins Residence in Shediac, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 22, 2012, after a brief illness.
Born in Petit-Cap on June 26, 1925, he was the son of the late Alphée and Adèle (Landry) LeBlanc.
Alonzo was a carpenter of trade; he worked most of his life at the CN Shops in Moncton and for Atlantic Marine in Cape Tormentine. He was an active member of the Canadian Legion and a member of the Golden Age club of Cap-Pelé.
Alonzo will be sadly missed by his five daughters, Oliva Arsenault (Albert), Alfreda Cormier (Guy), Diane LeBlanc, Ginette LeBlanc (Eric Thébeau),all of Cap-Pelé, and Janice LeBlanc of Shediac; one son, Ronnie-Gilles (Rachel Vienneau) of Cap-Pelé; three sisters, Loretta Léger (late Eugène) of Dieppe, Doris Brisson (late Ronald) of Brownsburg, QC and Maria Bourque (Gérard Landry) of Cap-Pelé; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and also by several cousins,nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Edna(2007), four sisters: Imelda, Marguerite, Généva and Mai, six brothers: Adélard, Aristide, Régis, Alexandre « Alex », Albert and Roméo, and also one infant brother, Alonzo.
In respect to the deceased wishes, there will be no visitations. Funeral service will be held at the Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church in Cap-Pelé on Thursday, October 25 at 10:30 am.
