A retired superintendent of detectives with the Moncton Police Force, "Dobbie" was a son of Frank and Laura (Cunningham) Dobson. He was born January 25, 1925 in Dorchester, NB where he grew up, went to school and met his beloved wife of 53 years, Shirley (Oulton). The couple settled in Moncton and raised four children. Grateful for the life of their much loved Dad are daughters Mary and her husband George Balser of Stoney Creek, NB; Barbara and her husband Dave Brown of Sarnia, Ontario, Brenda and her husband Rick Wytsma of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and son Tom Dobson of Moncton. Glenn will also be greatly missed by his brother Murray Dobson of Dorchester, NB, and his three sisters Bette and her husband Don Hicks of Kamloops, BC; Maude and her husband Jack McGrane of Torrington, Connecticut and Ann Winter of Seattle, Washington. He served in the RCAF from 1943 to the end of World War II and joined Moncton City Police Force in 1947 where he served with distinction for 38 years. Glenn was a faithful member of Central United Church for over 50 years as a member and chair of various committees. He particularly enjoyed Central's Men's Club and Hymn Sing morning.
