      VIENNEAU, Gerald Joseph A.

      VIENNEAU, Gerald Joseph A. - 74, quietly passed away Friday, July 18, 2008, in Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou. He was born in Cap Pele, N.B., and was predeceased by his parents, Ida (Landry) and Phillip Vienneau, and brother, Merville. Gerald was the loving husband of Carolyn Dorothy (Mills); beloved father of Jeff and Brian Vienneau, and grandfather to Zoe and Peter. He is survived by siblings, Teresa (Cormier), Simone (Richards), Cecilia (Robinson), Joe, Azor, Annette (Chipman) and Phyllis (Bates). Gerald was a proud veteran member of the Pictou Fire Department and a retired electrician from the Pictou Shipyard. He was an avid boater, mechanic/electrician, and prior member of many of Pictou County's hockey teams. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral mass will be held Monday at 11a.m. in Stella Maris Catholic Church, Pictou. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Pictou Fire Department Equipment Fund. On-line condolences may be sent to the funeral home website.
